Assisting the Community
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Community
Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded
to assist those in need in our community. Very few
chambers have any program comparable to this
outstanding Hollywood Chamber initiative.
The foundation supports and advances the
educational, cultural and economic interest of the
community by raising funds and issuing grants to
qualifying organizations. More than $450,000 has
been given out to deserving organizations and
agencies since the foundation was formed in 1995.
The annual
Women of Distinction Awards (honoring
women who have contributed to the social and
economic health of Hollywood), and the annual
All Hallow’s Eve Party are dedicated to raising money
for the foundation - 100% of which goes directly
back into the community through foundation grants.
Among the organizations helped recently were:
American Film Institute, Assistance League of
Southern California, AVIVA Family Services,
Barnsdall Art Park, Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood,
California Youth Theatre, Hollygrove Children &
Family Services, Hollywood Beautification Team, L.A.
Youth Network, Los Angeles Free Clinic, People
Assisting the Homeless (PATH), and the Thai
Community Development Center.
