Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Walk of Fame this year! The plan is lots of fun, and plenty of reasons to come to Hollywood and enjoy the year-long festivities. Join us all day on Sunday, July 25th as the Chamber encourages tourists and the community to "walk the Walk..." and enhoy the sights and sounds of this world-famous entertainment attraction. Bring your comfortable shoes and meet us at the starting point at Capitol Records as the Chamber honors posthumously the legendary late Louis Prima with a 2,413th star on the Walk of Fame. HOLLYWOOD — The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce expects thousands of Tinseltown history buffs to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Hollywood Walk of Fame later this month, as a daylong festival of open house tours offers a peek into iconic theaters and studios.
Live performances and movie screenings will also be offered at no charge, and four iconic production centers, rarely open to the public, will open their doors on July 25. The public will have a rare opportunity to see inside Studio A at the Capitol Records building on North Vine Street, which features a 30-foot-deep underground echo chamber and has been used by six generations of musical stars.
