The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce proudly honored actress and musician Mandy Moore with the 2,658th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, in the category of Television at 6562 Hollywood Boulevard.

  “Mandy Moore is a very talented actress and musician and we are proud to have her on our historic Walk of Fame,” said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  “We have all watched her become one of Hollywood’s most versatile and poised performers,” Martinez added.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce which administers the popular star ceremonies encourages people who are unable to attend and fans around the world to watch the live-stream of the event exclusively on, courtesy of our media partner Variety.

Helping Emcee Rana Ghadban, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, to unveil the star were actor Shane West and creator of the popular television show “This is Us” Dan Fogelman. 

Celebrities on hand for the event included “This is Us” cast members: Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Jon Huertas, Chrissy Metz, Milo Ventimiglia, Susan Kelechi Watson. Also in attendance were musician Taylor Goldsmith, actress Carly Craig and director Adam Shankman. 

A Grammy® and Golden Globes® nominated actress, singer and songwriter—Mandy Moore continues to work in a career marked by memorable performances in everything from family-friendly movies, hit television shows,  independent features, and studio films.  

Amanda Leigh Moore was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, to Stacy (Friedman), a former news reporter, and Don Moore, an airline pilot. During her childhood, her family moved to Orlando, Florida, where she was raised. 
            After seeing the musical "Oklahoma!,” she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in singing. As a child, she performed the National Anthem at several athletic events around her hometown of Orlando, Florida, and became known as the "National Anthem girl".

At 15, Moore first came to national attention as a recording artist in 1999 with the release of her debut album, So Real, which reached platinum status in a remarkable three months and produced the top ten single "Candy." She followed with her second album, “I Wanna Be With You” (Special Edition) which also went platinum and its single, “I Wanna Be With You” stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for 16 weeks. Her self-titled third album, another major seller, featured the #1 hit single "Cry."  

            Moore recently wrapped production on the third season of the critically acclaimed NBC show “This Is Us.”   The penultimate episode will air tomorrow, March 26, and the season 3 finale will air on April 2, at 9 pm PDT on NBC. Moore’s role in the show earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination while the show received acclaim with multiple Emmy nomination, two SAG wins, for Best Ensemble In a Drama Series, multiple Golden Globe nominations, TCA Award win for Best New Program and a Critics’ Choice Award nomination and was also recognized by Humanitas, The Television Academy Honors and has been listed as one of the top 10 series by AFI twice.  Moore’s other television credits include recurring roles in “Entourage,” “Scrubs,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and the animated Disney show “Tangled.”   In addition, Moore also lent her voice to the dark humor comedy “High School USA!” and to Disney Junior’s animated television series, “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” in which she voiced the title character. The show marked the first time Disney has debuted a new series as an app before its broadcast debut. 

As for her film career, she recently shot Roland Emmerich’s film “Midway”opposite Woody Harrelson.  She also can recently heard in “Ralph Breaks the Internet” where reprised her role of Rapunzel originally from “Tangled.” 

 Moore has a diverse lineup of film credits which includes “The Darkest Minds,” “Saved,” “47 Meters Down,” “Love, Wedding, Marriage” “Hotel Noir,” “License to Wed,”  “Because I Said So,”  “Romance and Cigarettes”  and “Chasing Liberty”, which earned Moore a World Soundtrack Award nomination. 

As a Global Ambassador for PSI’s child survival programs, Moore is deeply passionate about providing children and their families with the education, products, services and care needed to improve their health and save lives in more than 30 countries around the world.

With approximately 24 star ceremonies annually broadcast around the world, the constant reinforcement provided to the public has made the Walk of Fame a top visitor attraction. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce continues to add stars on the Walk of Fame as the representative of the City of Los Angeles. The Walk of Fame is a tribute to all of those who worked diligently to develop the concept and to maintain this world-class tourist attraction. The Walk of Fame is a free event and is open to the public. No paid admission or assigned seating at star ceremonies. The sponsorship funds for this special honor are used to pay for the creation/installation of the star and ceremony, as well as maintenance of the Walk of Fame.
